A Delicious Birthday!

Hullo!

After a weekend in the forest, I'm back in Brooklyn with a fully stocked refrigerator and freezer! How good are parents?!
The day before my birthday! I tried a new café (that's 4 of 4 - goal accomplished!) in Park Slope.
Their tofu banh mi sandwich is divine!
Some newly moved plant friends, organic popcorn from my favorite movie theater, strange mandarin oranges, and an awesome travel book (bible) with the most beautiful images from my baby sister!
CHEESY BUNS from Smitten Kitchen (that's recipe 3 of 4)
Black Forest cake to the left and Tiramisù mille crêpe cake from the Culinary!!! Can't express...YUM.
This is the front of my favorite movie theater, Upstate Films!!!
We saw Silver Linings Playbook, which was SO GOOD (3 of 4!). Bring on the Oscars. I'm ready.
It was a really delicious birthday! From homemade treats, some 떡국, a lunch at the Culinary (with otherworldly cakes!), brick oven pizzas, to a day of classic Rhinebeck! It was wonderful. Major thank you's to Mom and Dad! <3

So - Tomorrow is the inaugural address and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - which brings about a number of commemorative-type events and talks. ...Should be interesting. Beyoncé will be singing the national anthem, so that's definitely something.

AND Rumor around the world is that Mitch might be headed to McMurdo today, which is one step closer to Brooklyn. :) :) :)

Until next time!
